Georgetown: Myrtle Skipper Price, 87, widow of Rudolph Judson Price, passed away Friday, February 10, 2012, at Tidelands Community Hospice House. Mrs. Price was born in Williamsburg County, SC on February 2, 1925, the eldest daughter of George Leo Skipper and Omitt Walters Skipper. She was a member of Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church and served as a Sunday School Teacher, Choir Member, President and Board Member of the Women's Auxiliary. She was also a President and Board Member of WCTU. Mrs. Price retired from Georgetown Memorial Hospital in 1973 and was a member of the GMH Women's Auxiliary. Surviving are her three daughters, Mickey Price and Diane P. Moore and Allen, both of Georgetown and Cindy Price of Chincoteague, Va; her son, James Rudolph Price and Diane of Wilmington, NC; two brothers, William E. Skipper and Mary of Georgetown and Rev. Thomas E. Skipper and Joyce of Andrews; three sisters, Betty Skipper Cooper and Alberta Skipper Bratcher, both of Georgetown, and Rev. C. Wyllene Skipper of Hot Springs, NC; six grandchildren, Elizabeth "Cricket" Woodward and Jack and Christopher P. Moore and Lindsay, both of Georgetown, R. Judson Price and Juliana of Greenville, NC, J. Allen Moore, II of Savannah, Ga., J. Ryan Price of Summerville, SC, and H. Jeffrey Moore and Emily of Statesboro, Ga; four great-grandchildren; Korre Elizabeth Woodward, Harper Elizabeth Moore, and C. Price Moore, II, all of Georgetown, and Ashby Eliza Moore of Statesboro, Ga; and one great-great grandchild, Jayden Alyssa Bailey of Georgetown. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Mary Skipper Howard. The family will receive friends at the Georgetown Chapel of Mayer Funeral Home Saturday evening, February 11, 2012, from five until seven o'clock. Funeral services will be Sunday, February 12, 2012, at two o'clock at the Georgetown Pentecostal Holiness Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Thomas E. Skipper, the Rev. Clide E. Glover, the Rev. Elvio Canavesio, and the Rev. C. Wyllene Skipper. The Committal Service and Burial will follow at Pennyroyal Memorial Gardens.
