Georgetown: Munick Carson "Carl" Hucks, 74, died Sunday, February 12, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Hucks was born in Conway on June 21, 1937, a son of the late Harry Henry Hucks and Sadie Bell Jordan Hucks. He grew up in Horry County and served in the U.S. Air Force. Mr. Hucks moved to Georgetown in 1978 and was a retired electrician. Surviving are: his wife, Lillian Goude Hucks of Georgetown; three sons, Bobby Hucks of Charlottesville, Va., Jerry Hucks of Conway, and Tony Hucks of Georgetown; a daughter, Carlette "Prissy" Stewart of Georgetown; four brothers, Lavon Hucks, Henry Hucks, and Allen Hucks, all of Conway, and Randy Hucks of N.C.; three sisters, Betty Smith, Jeanwood Todd and Doris Hucks, all of Conway; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hucks was predeceased by: a son, Dennis Hucks; and two brothers, Donnie Hucks and Tommy Hucks. Funeral services will be on at two o'clock on Tuesday afternoon, February 14, 2012, at Ringel Heights Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Chris E. Giles and the Rev. Ronald W. Ward. Burial will follow in Mt. Tabor Baptist Church Cemetery in Yauhanna. Sign a guestbook at: www.mayerfuneralhome.com.
