Memories & Candles
I remember having Mike in one of my classes. He was a friend to everyone. He was a special person. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time.

His last conversations were filled with gratitude and contentment. Not with words but you just saw it and felt it. He was truly a man loved by all.

We started looking forward to what polyester surprise that was transpiring. I know now we were all in secret admiration that He knew he was comfortable with himself at such a pivotal time in life. It was effortless his choice of dress...it was simply Eller. He could have been a goat roper or taken on the prep fashion. That was just not Eller. The best class I ever had in

Eller made us laugh....at ourselves. He picked up on our idiosyncrasies with ease. He helped us all be rediculius. We all acted so stupid especially in front of girls. Eller instigated humor. He guided and helped us be fun...like those paper wads we chunked on the ceiling. He made harmless fun of the cool girls all the while being a gentleman. Always. He would cup his hands to pat one on the back and held his hands dayly over an

Mike was one of the most warm-hearted and selfless people I knew. He went out of his way to opened his heart and home to me. Nicknamed Uncle Mike, he had an incredibly upbeat and positive attitude no matter what the situation and I have learned a LOT from him. I plan to carry on his outlook on life. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.

To Mike's family, my thoughts and prayers are with you now and in the future. God needed Mike in heaven and He called him home.
You will have an angel on your shoulder; as Mike watches over you. During the most difficult of times, close your eyes and you'll see Mike smiling at you -- ready to listen and comfort you. He hasn't left you -- when it's time, you'll be with him again. Until then, I pray that you find strength in your faith, friends, and family.

Even though I knew Mike growing up, we really became friends in our Spanish class at CHS. Mike and Gregg Frizzell started calling me "Rhoda" and it stuck. 25 years later we reconnected at our reunion and he was still calling me "Rhoda". He made me laugh with his "Scottish accent" and his Jerry Jones impersonation.
One thing that impressed me the most about Mike besides his vast knowledge of every player in every sport was how he loved his
